The board meetings happen most months, the Annual General Meeting occurs each year in late summer / early fall, we host workshops and seminars and participate in community events and festivals.

Community is better together

The Friends of Wellers Bay association works toward maintaining the health of the Bay, but we need your help!

And there are many ways to help out that are:
  • as much or as little involvement as you can manage;
  • in the way that suits your interests and skills;
  • present in the area or from a distance; and
  • on your budget

Your membership (in numbers and dollars) and
your donations (as citizens or from your business)
make it possible to continue our endeavours,
but the FOWB is a volunteer-run, community-focused,
not-for-profit charity that needs people power, too.

We can't do it without you!  Your dollars have a direct impact on the ability of the board to continue to function to serve the community.  We are working on building up our membership but currently operate at a loss due to basic operational expenses; in order to break even and not dip into reserve funds intended for projects, FOWB relies on Grants and Donations.  Not only is this about our bottom line, but every donation also demonstrates to Grantors and Governments that the membership has the support of the community.

Your membership matters:

It makes dollars and sense!  Membership fees help the FOWB to further its work, but we also need a robust membership list to give credence to our grants applications and when advocating with government departments and organizations on behalf of the membership for the betterment of the Bay.
