Bash the Trash at Bald Head Beach !!

    We need your help...
Do you have a boat?   Meet us there!
Do you need a ride?  Go ahead get organized!  Find a neighbour with a boat.
​Neighbours will be helping neighbours to get the beach cleaned up
... ​keep an eye on our socials for updates!
​You spoke and we listened! We have heard from folks that they have concerns regarding the amount of trash being left behind by users of Bald Head Beach. Friends of Wellers Bay Board is hosting a beach cleanup - July 19. We need YOU to make this happen!!! 

We will supply the bags, gloves and logistics, and we need you to  pitch in and clean up the beach and area, to make this event a success. Please reach out to Ray Patterson, by text or phone at 416 518 4649 if you can help and on which date. 

Annual General Meeting

In person, in Consecon at the Loyalist Masonic Lodge on Saturday, Aug 23rd.  We'll again enjoy a morning meeting followed by lunch to share in community conversations.  You need to be a member to vote - renew now or at the door

  • Wellers Bay has one of the last undeveloped sand spits on Lake Ontario
  • ​It is connected to Lake Ontario with 2 sandy channels
  • The water quality is rated EXCELLENT due to low levels of Total Phosphorus, which means the algae growth is minimal
  • Its average depth is 2.8m / 9.1ft
  • It is approximately 8km / 5mi long and just over 18 square kms

US

Friends of Wellers Bay Inc. (FOWB, for short) is a membership-driven, registered charity supported by a volunteer board of local residents and property owners from across the region, on and off the shoreline.

Originally, established in 1987 and incorporated in 1989, it carries on the legacy of stewardship and advocacy for Wellers Bay, as envisioned by the founders.
